Mitigasi Waste Material Konstruksi Gedung Kampus Universitas Jambi
Abstract
Mitigasi Waste material konstruksi menjadi isu penting dalam pembangunan gedung kampus Universitas Jambi. Pertumbuhan pesat infrastruktur memicu peningkatan produksi waste material konstruksi, yang dapat berdampak negatif pada lingkungan dan keseimbangan ekologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jesnis, faktor penyebab waste material, dan menerapkan strategi mitigasi yang efektif dalam mengelola waste material konstruksi di lingkungan kampus serta menyajikan landasan bagi pengambilan keputusan berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan waste material konstruksi di lingkungan kampus Universitas Jambi. Metode penelitian melibatkan analisis data melalui observasi lapangan dalam menentukan jenis waste material konstruksi yang dihasilkan selama proyek pembangunan dan penyebaran kuisioner terhadap 65 responden untuk mengidentifikasi sumber penyebab waste material. Selanjutnya menerapkan analisis SWOT sebagai alat evaluasi dalam merancang strategi mitigasi. Studi ini mengidentifikasi kekuatan (strengths), kelemahan (weaknesses), peluang (opportunities), dan ancaman (threats) yang berkaitan dengan pengelolaan limbah material konstruksi, dengan tujuan mengoptimalkan praktik berkelanjutan. Hasil studi menunjukan bahwa jenis waste material yang dominan adalah Hebel/Bata Ringan (4,78). Sedangkan Faktor penyebab yang dominan adalah Tempat material yang tidak tepat (4,32). Selanjutnya dengan memanfaatkan hasil analisis SWOT strategi mitigasi waste material konstruksi yang efektif dapat dihasilkan. Yakni dengan menerapkan pendekatan terintegrasi, hal ini melibatkan penguatan kerjasama lintas-sektor, serta pengembangan kebijakan internal untuk mendukung prinsip-prinsip berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menyajikan pandangan komprehensif tentang faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi mitigasi waste material konstruksi, memberikan dasar bagi kebijakan dan tindakan yang berkelanjutan di lingkungan kampus Universitas Jambi.
